Job summary

Greencore Selby site is seeking a Quality/Technical team member for a day shift to support sample collection, packaging checks and compliance documentation on site.

You will collaborate with the QA Supervisor to ensure accurate results are recorded, issues are communicated promptly, and the Quality Suite is maintained. On-the-job training and development opportunities are available as part of Greencore's commitment to growth.

Qualifications

• Strong computer literacy and accurate record keeping in a QA environment.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Good organisation, attention to detail and time management.
• Ability to follow packaging instructions and conduct simple food safety tests.

Responsibilities

• Collect and collate samples.
• Prepare Recording Documents.
• Complete packaging and durability checks before panel, measure pack weights.
• Notify the Panel of issues observed during preparation.
• Report results to the QA Supervisor, including failures and reasons.
• Update the daily log with results digitally.
• Assist in checking product weights when panel indicates anomalies.
• Help maintain the Panel Participants schedule.
• Manage the Quality Suite and ensure it is maintained.

Day Shift Pattern:

Working Monday to Friday, 07:00am until 15:00pm.

Pay rate:

£15.60 per hour.

What you'll be doing

• Collection and collation of samples
• Preparation of Recording Documents
• Complete all packaging and durability checks before commencement of the Panel and confirm compliance, including the measurement of pack weights
• Communicating to the Panel any issues or observations made during the preparation stage
• Communicating results of the panel to the QA Supervisor in a timely manner to include failed product and reason for failure
• Updating the daily log with the results digitally
• Assist to check products weights where the panel indicates anomalies with content or piece count
• Assist in ensuring the schedule of Panel Participants is maintained.
• Manage the Quality Suite and ensure it is maintained.

What we're looking for

For this role, we are ideally looking for someone who has worked as part of a Quality or technical team previous within a Food Manufacturer. Key skills and competencies we would be looking for are:

• Strong Communication in English, both written and spoken.

• Time management
• Able to follow instructions on packaging and perform simple tests to ensure food safety and legal compliance
