Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking an accountant to join our Finance Team supporting TASC Research & Development services. You will provide financial support to the Finance Manager and develop and implement finance strategies to facilitate clinical research activity and ensure compliance with regulations.

You must be CCAB fully or part qualified, and have advanced Excel skills and strong analytical skills in interpreting complex financial data.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Finance Team which supports TASC Research & Development services. We are looking for an accountant to work in conjunction with the Finance Manager, and other members of the Finance Team, to provide financial support to TASC Management. You will assist the Finance Manager to develop and implement finance strategies and processes to facilitate clinical research activity and ensure compliance with regulations.

You must be CCAB fully or part qualified, and must have advanced Excel skills and strong analytical skills in interpreting complex financial data. A specialised knowledge of NHS research funding would be advantageous but not essential, and on the job training will be provided. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills.

You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
