A leading aviation support company in Carterton is seeking an Aircraft Refuelling Tanker and Airfield Support Equipment Technician to maintain RAF vehicles and ensure safety compliance. The role involves a 40-hour work week with standby commitments and offers a salary starting at £36,796.34 plus benefits including holiday, pension contributions, and employee discounts. Serco Aircraft Refuelling Tanker and Airfield Support Equipment Technicians are responsible for:
Mon-Fri 40 hour week 07:00 hrs – 16:00 Mon – Thu; 07:00 hrs – 13:00 Fri. Standby out of hours commitment – from home Mon‑Fri. This standby week includes a weekend commitment to complete Runway Arrestor Gear Daily Checks (07:30 – 08:30 Sat and Sun). Standby weeks (including Sat & Sun Runway Arrestor Gear Daily Checks) are typically required every 6 weeks. This commitment attracts additional pay. Overtime as required. On‑the‑job training will be provided.
£36,796.34 + Standby payments
The employee shall ensure maintenance, paperwork and services delivered are always complete, correct and “right first time”. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle / Technical Maintenance arena.

You will contribute enormously to the vital work carried out here.
