We are a leading provider of heating and fuel storage solutions, delivering high-quality oil tank installations, servicing, and maintenance across the UK. As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a skilled Storage Tank Engineer to join our professional and supportive team.

The Role

As a Tank Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for the safe and compliant installation of domestic and commercial oil storage tanks, including associated pipework and fittings. Your role will also involve the removal of old tanks and heating systems, as well as the cleaning and servicing of various storage tanks, including water tanks. You will ensure all installations comply with industry standards (OFTEC/Building Regulations) while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and replace oil storage tanks in line with applicable regulations and standards
• Service and maintain a range of storage tanks
• Conduct site surveys and risk assessments prior to installations
• Install and test associated pipework, fittings, and fuel lines
• Ensure compliance with fire separation and environmental regulations
• Provide professional advice and support to customers
• Maintain accurate records of completed work and materials used
• Assist with general maintenance and servicing of heating oil systems as required

Requirements

• Previous experience in oil tank installation (preferred but not essential with a strong engineering background)
• Knowledge of pipework installation, including cutting, jointing, and fitting methods
• Understanding of construction principles and ability to work safely on varied sites
• OFTEC registration/certification (advantageous)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
