Job description

Make the extraordinary, everlasting - with us.

At EC, we craft extraordinary experiences that leave a lasting impression - not just for our clients, but for our people too. We blend the big ideas of a creative agency with the meticulous execution of a production company, bringing bold, imaginative events to life. We’re collaborative, down-to-earth, and serious about delivering quality - all while finding time for lightness and fun. If you’re someone who’s curious, adaptable and excited to do meaningful work with a team that’s got your back, we’d love to hear from you.

About The Role

(Part-Time – 30 hours, Remote First)

This is an opportunity to become the go-to talent expert at EC, owning the day-to-day recruitment activity that helps our business attract and secure exceptional people. You'll play a visible role across the organisation, partnering closely with hiring managers to identify talent needs, find great candidates and deliver an outstanding hiring experience. As Talent Lead, you'll take ownership of recruitment across permanent, freelance and emerging talent hiring. Reporting to the Head of People, you'll manage our end-to-end recruitment processes, maintain and develop our talent pipelines, oversee our ATS, Teamtailor and build strong relationships across the industry to ensure EC has access to the talent we need, when we need it. While you'll contribute ideas and insight to improve how we attract talent, this is a hands‑on role focused on delivering hiring outcomes, reducing agency reliance and becoming a trusted recruitment partner to the business.

Key Objectives
  • Build and maintain a proactive talent pipeline that supports current and future hiring needs across the business.
  • Reduce external recruitment spend through effective direct sourcing, talent pooling and employer brand initiatives.
  • Own and optimise our ATS, Teamtailor, as the central platform for recruitment, candidate experience and hiring analytics.
  • Develop and deliver EC's early careers strategy, including collaborating with our L&D coordinator on apprenticeships, internships, graduate pathways and emerging talent programmes.
  • Partner with hiring managers to improve recruitment capability, consistency, quality of hire and workforce planning.
Role Overview
  • Reporting to the Head of People, the Talent Lead is responsible for attracting, engaging and securing great talent across EC.
  • This role combines hands‑on recruitment delivery with talent strategy, workforce planning and employer branding. You will lead end-to-end hiring processes, develop long‑term talent pipelines, manage our recruitment technology and create candidate experiences that reflect EC's culture and values.
  • Success in this role will be measured not only by hiring outcomes, but by your ability to build sustainable talent communities, improve recruitment efficiency and reduce reliance on external agencies.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment activity across all business functions.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand current and future hiring requirements.
  • Challenge and refine role briefs to ensure recruitment strategies align with business needs.
  • Deliver high-quality candidate shortlists through direct sourcing, networking and market engagement.
  • Manage recruitment campaigns from approval through to offer acceptance.
  • Ensure an exceptional and inclusive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Continually improve recruitment processes to increase efficiency and hiring success.
Talent Pipeline & Workforce Planning
  • Build and maintain active talent communities across key disciplines.
  • Develop proactive talent pipelines for critical and frequently hired roles.
  • Support workforce planning discussions alongside the Head of People and Leadership Team.
  • Identify future skills requirements and emerging talent gaps.
  • Maintain meaningful relationships with prospective candidates, freelancers and industry contacts.
Teamtailor Ownership
  • Act as the business owner for our ATS, Teamtailor.
  • Ensure all workflows, automations, reporting and candidate journeys are optimised.
  • Support hiring managers in using the platform effectively.
  • Maintain accuracy, compliance and reporting standards within the system.
  • Drive adoption and continuous improvement of recruitment technology.
Employer Brand & Market Engagement
  • Work with Marketing and business leaders to strengthen EC's employer brand and Employee Value Proposition.
  • Increase EC's visibility within relevant industry networks and talent communities.
  • Build relationships with colleges, universities and industry organisations.
  • Represent EC at relevant networking, careers and industry events.
  • Monitor market trends, salary benchmarking and competitor activity.
Early Careers & Emerging Talent
  • Develop and deliver EC's early talent strategy.
  • Manage apprenticeship, internship and placement schemes in collaboration with our L&D coordinator.
  • Create structured pathways for emerging talent to join and develop within EC.
  • Measure and improve the effectiveness of early careers programmes.
Freelancer & Talent Community Management
  • Build, maintain and grow a high-quality network of freelance and contract talent across key disciplines.
  • Own freelancer onboarding processes, including right to work checks, engagement documentation and compliance requirements, working closely with People & Finance.
  • Manage and maintain an effective freelancer database, ensuring skills and engagement records remain accurate and up to date.
  • Partner with business leaders to develop freelance resourcing strategies that support current and future project requirements.
  • Establish and continuously improve systems and processes that enable EC to engage talent efficiently across multiple markets and geographies.
Recruitment Analytics & Reporting
  • Produce regular insight and reporting on recruitment activity.
  • Track key metrics including time-to-hire, source effectiveness, hiring costs and agency spend.
  • Use talent data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
