We are recruiting on behalf of a leading financial services firm in Manchester that is undergoing an exciting period of transformation. The business is seeking a proactive, high-performing Talent Advisor to support its growing Technology & Data team.

This is a strategic, business-facing role – not just transactional recruitment. The successful candidate will bring a high-level recruiter skill set, strong stakeholder engagement, and a collaborative mindset. They will lead the full talent employee lifecycle, from sourcing and attraction through to onboarding and induction, with a focus on competency-based hiring and long-term capability building.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with senior leaders across Data and Technology to shape and deliver talent strategies aligned to business goals.
  • Own the end-to-end recruitment process, including direct sourcing, selection, offer management, and onboarding.
  • Design and implement competency-based hiring frameworks and interview guides.
  • Deliver tailored onboarding and induction experiences for technical talent.
  • Collaborate with HRBPs and L&D to support career pathways and internal mobility.
  • Promote inclusive, team-based hiring practices and foster a collaborative hiring culture.
  • Stay ahead of market trends, salary benchmarks, and competitor activity.
  • Represent the firm at tech events, meetups, and university partnerships.
  • Ensure recruitment processes are efficient, compliant, and data-informed.
Candidate Profile
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition or HR business partnering within tech/data functions.
  • Strong sourcing capabilities, including direct search and passive candidate engagement.
  • Skilled in stakeholder management and strategic business partnering.
  • Familiarity with competency-based interviewing and assessment techniques.
  • Commercially savvy, solutions-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
