Job description

As our Talent Acquisition Coordinator, you will support the delivery of departmental objectives by contributing to day‑to‑day operations across relevant functions, working collaboratively to ensure tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Reporting to the Head of HR Legal (UK) and Talent Management or their designee, you will support recruitment activities across the organisation, coordinate hiring processes, maintain recruitment records and reporting, support early careers initiatives, and ensure recruitment activities are delivered in line with established policies, procedures, and documentation standards.

This role is offered on a fixed-term basis for an initial period of 9 months to provide temporary cover during a period of maternity leave.

Subject to business need and the duration of the absence being covered, the contract may be extended for a further period, up to a maximum total duration of 12 months.

The fixed‑term nature of this position reflects a genuine temporary requirement to ensure continuity of business operations and delivery while the substantive postholder is on maternity leave. The role is directly linked to the duration of that absence.

It is anticipated that, upon the return of the substantive postholder, the requirement for this role will cease.

In such circumstances, the employment will terminate on the grounds of Some Other Substantial Reason (SOSR), namely the ending of a temporary maternity cover arrangement. Any termination will be managed in line with a fair and reasonable process, appropriate notice, and in accordance with applicable UK employment law.

  • Support end‑to‑end recruitment processes across multiple roles and functions.
  • Coordinate interviews, assessments, and selection activities with candidates, hiring managers, and interview panels.
  • Maintain accurate records within the applicant tracking system (ATS) and manage recruitment inboxes.
  • Prepare and issue offer documentation and support pre‑employment, right‑to‑work, and background checks.
Job Descriptions & Interview Governance
  • Draft, review, and update job descriptions in partnership with hiring managers.
  • Review interview questions and selection criteria to ensure alignment with job descriptions and fair, consistent hiring practices.
  • Maintain compliant recruitment documentation and audit trails.

  • Act as a key point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Ensure timely, professional communication and a positive candidate journey.

  • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion reporting within recruitment activities.
  • Produce regular recruitment reports and dashboards.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across HR systems.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Follow documented recruitment SOPs covering requisition approval, advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, offers, and onboarding handover.
  • Ensure all recruitment activities are completed in line with agreed timelines, approval frameworks, and documentation standards.
  • Adhere to SOPs relating to data protection, record keeping, and system usage.
  • Identify gaps or inefficiencies in existing SOPs and recommend updates or improvements.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of recruitment and TA SOP documentation.

Compliance & Continuous Improvement
  • Ensure recruitment activities align with organisational policies, employment legislation, and data protection requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across recruitment processes, systems, and reporting.
  • Promote best practice and consistency in recruitment delivery.
Team Contribution & Support
  • Contribute to the delivery of departmental strategies by supporting team initiatives aligned with organisational goals.
  • Participate in team‑level projects and continuous improvement activities.
  • Share feedback and insights from day‑to‑day work to inform policy and process enhancements.
