Job summary

Northern Education Trust seeks a caring, enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant for Essa Primary Academy in Bolton. The role is part-time (30.75 hours over 39 weeks) on a fixed-term basis until August 31, 2027, supporting pupils’ learning across the school and assisting the teaching team.

Salary is pro rata with SCP7–SCP8 scales and pro rata figures; the post includes access to NET development programmes and a strong commitment to safeguarding and professional development.

Qualifications

• Post holder will engage in regulated activity with children.
• This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; enhanced DBS checks will apply.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils' learning and development across Essa Primary Academy.
• Provide assistance to teaching staff and contribute to a safe, positive learning environment.
