Systems Test Technician / Engineer

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Systems Test Technician / Engineer to join a leading engineering company based in Southampton.

Overview

The primary role of the Systems Test Technician / Engineer will be to repair, fault find and test the sites products and basic software programming.

Responsibilities

• Fault find and diagnose to board level, repair, commission and test hardware systems
• Set up static IP addresses on local networks
• Creating step by step test documentation
• Identify and implement process improvements
• When required remote support to field engineers and customers across the UK and Europe

There will be extensive training for this role, including across the hardware and software systems.

Ideal Experience

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience of test, diagnosis, fault finding and repair with an understanding of configuring local network addresses, setting IP addresses and basic software programming. Also any experience of creating step‑by‑step test documentation, setting up IP addresses on local networks, and implementing process improvements would be preferred. Team‑leading experience is an advantage and computer repairs experience would be ideal. Desirable – System repairs experience in Aerospace or MOD.

Salary / Hours / Benefits

• £38,000 – £40,000
