Job summary

Qualifications

Job Overview

For the level of projects worked and for security purposes, this role is restricted to UK + EU nationals only. This is a site‑based role with the potential to work from home one day a week, when the nature of the work permits.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support system verification activities, including system tests, qualification tests, and flight tests
  • Prepare qualification plans, procedures, and reports to support programme delivery
  • Support system certification and customer approval activities
  • Follow robust configuration control, review, and change management processes
  • Assist with the preparation of estimates, task lists, and risk management plans
  • Build strong customer relationships by responding to requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and internal departments across the business
  • Work with external subcontract organisations where required
Qualifications
  • A degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal and team‑building skills
  • Sound decision‑making ability
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to gather data, compile information, prepare reports, and present findings
  • A well‑organised, detail‑oriented approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • The ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and deliver to deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web browsers
  • Intermediate knowledge of PC software applications and a strong understanding of PC operating systems
Desired Experience
  • Experience in the aerospace industry, carrying out Environmental and EMC qualification testing in accordance with DO-160G or equivalent military standards
