Job summary

Rolls-Royce Bristol, England, is seeking a Performance & Environmental Protection Engineer to join the Global Systems Engineering and Product Performance function. The role covers design, simulation and verification of engines at the whole-system level to predict emergent attributes from sub-system integration.

You will develop models from first principles, perform 1D thermodynamic and empirical analyses, and support certification and testing while coordinating with internal teams, airframers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or regional equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design and cross-discipline engineering concepts.
• Ability to apply analytical thinking to complex technical problems.
• Chartered status or working toward Chartered status in the UK preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the definition of the product cycle.
• Predict and analyze product attributes at the whole-system level.
• Gather and disseminate requirements from internal and external customers.
• Provide data to sub-systems for design and development.
• Define and manage system and product interfaces.
• Provide insight into product/aircraft interaction.
• Analyze real-world operation and customer usage.
