An international high-technology group is seeking a Senior Systems & Performance Engineer based in Wolverhampton. The role involves developing technical specifications for actuation systems, managing requirements, and analyzing customer needs. We are actively seeking a Senior Systems & Performance Engineer to join our Wolverhampton-based team, contributing expertise to military and civil actuation projects. This individual will play a key role in an integrated product team, leveraging their experience to autonomously plan and execute Systems & Performance Engineering work packages.
Collaboration with the Principal Systems/Performance Engineer will enhance project delivery as needed.
Develop technical specifications and solutions for intricate actuation systems, involving requirements capture, architecture development, trade studies, requirements validation, design performance analysis, modeling, verification, and integration.
Understand, interpret, and clarify customer and stakeholder requirements.
Establish system architecture and develop interface definitions.
Manage requirements and create specifications for internal and external suppliers.
Utilise computer modelling and simulation for actuation systems, encompassing hydro-mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.
Support product design and development through static and dynamic analysis, including sizing, sensitivity, and robustness analysis, as well as control law development.
Conduct trade‑off analysis to identify optimised solutions.
Produce project deliverables such as Performance Analysis reports, Requirements Management Plans, System Description Documents, Verification Summaries, and Compliance Reports.
Generate and track progress on requirements validation, traceability, and verification matrices/summaries.
Analyse customer requirements for compliance.
Identify and address technical risks and implement risk mitigation throughout the program’s lifecycle.
Contribute to the development of standard work and best practices within the function.
