ALTEN is seeking a Systems Engineer with strong requirements management expertise to support complex engineering programmes through the lifecycle. The role emphasizes capture, analysis, decomposition, verification and validation of requirements with traceability across business and system needs.

Candidates with MBSE experience and Capella awareness are encouraged to apply, along with capability in engaging with both business and engineering stakeholders. Security clearance may be required.

Job Description

ALTEN is looking for a Systems Engineer with strong expertise in requirements management to support complex engineering programmes throughout the system lifecycle.

The successful candidate will drive the capture, analysis, decomposition, verification and validation of requirements while ensuring traceability across business, stakeholder and system-level needs.

This role is particularly suited to candidates with experience in structured systems engineering environments and exposure to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).

Key Responsibilities:

• Capture, analyse and manage stakeholder, customer and business requirements.
• Develop and maintain requirements hierarchies and traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Decompose requirements into system and subsystem level specifications.
• Support requirements verification and validation activities.
• Conduct impact assessments and manage requirements change processes.
• Support system architecture and functional analysis activities.
• Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to ensure requirements are clearly defined and understood.
• Support systems engineering governance, reviews and lifecycle management activities.
• Contribute to the development of systems engineering best practices.
