An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Systems Engineering Manager (SEM) within Thales Optronics and Missile Electronics (OME). The successful candidate will initially undertake the role of Systems Engineering Manager within the Sea business.
As a SEM you will work in collaboration with the Head of Systems Engineering and the Senior Engineering Delivery Manager for Sea.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in Systems Engineering with experience in team management and leading the delivery of work packages. They will be highly business focused with excellent communication skills and have the ability to work in fast moving environments with multiple parallel objectives. Knowledge and experience of Sea products is essential to this role.
This role will work closely with the Head of Systems Engineering and the Senior Engineering Delivery Manager for Sea. This role will report to both the Head of Systems Engineering and the Sea Sector Senior Engineering Delivery Manager.

Due to the nature of the work that we do at Thales, many of our roles are subject to security restrictions. This role requires Security Clearance (SC). It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance prior to commencing employment.
To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
