Job summary

BAE Systems offers an undergraduate placement where you will be involved in different stages of a product’s life cycle, helping to capture requirements, develop and manage technical information, and see our products in action.

You’ll work alongside experienced colleagues, receive mentoring, and contribute ideas on meaningful projects with a focus on wellbeing and flexible working arrangements. Start date is June 2027, with opportunities for future graduate progression.

Qualifications

• Must be on track to achieve a minimum 2:2 Bachelor’s degree in any subject.
• Many roles require security and export control restrictions; Baseline Personnel Security Standard required; higher vetting may apply with 5–10 years UK residency.

Entry requirements?

You’ll need to be on track to receive a minimum 2:2 Bachelor’s degree in any subject.

Please be aware that many roles at BAE Systems are subject to both security and export control restrictions. These restrictions mean that factors such as your nationality, any nationalities you may have previously held, and your place of birth can restrict the roles you are eligible to perform within the organisation. All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.

What is the application process?

The stages of our application process include: a short online application. If you’re successful, you'll then complete an online assessment with interactive activities, and an on-demand video interview. The next stage is a competency-based interview, either virtual or face‑to‑face.
