L3Harris in Tewkesbury is our HQ for our Intelligence & Cyber International, the land domain, our T7 and T4 multi-mission robots delivering next-generation remote capabilities and uncompromised performance. We design and manufacture world-leading land force protection systems, cyber and electromagnetic activities (CEMA), electronic warfare (EW) and encryption capabilities. Our cyber capabilities provide an information advantage in the fields of kinetic conflict, cyber warfare, force protection and counterterrorism.

We’re looking for a Systems Engineering Industrial Placement to join us for 12 months from September 2026 to support the development of complex Information Resilience and Electronic Warfare Systems. Reporting to one of our Systems Engineering Leads and working in a cross-functional team you will develop design solutions and contribute to the generation of technical proposals, bids and presentations, playing a critical part in our key engineering programmes.

This role provides fantastic opportunities to develop technical skills across multiple projects, gaining valuable experience whilst making a difference.

What you’ll bring

The role requires the following experience and skills:

  • On track to achieve at least a 2:1 in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science or Physics
  • Basic understanding of Systems Engineering such as Requirements, Architectural design, Integration and/or Verification
  • Some knowledge of electronics and software development is desirable
  • Willingness to learn and tenacious approach to problem solving
  • A demonstrable passion for engineering and technology keeping up to date with latest innovations
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a self-starter - able to work as part of a team as well as using your own initiative
