A leading defence organization is seeking a Systems Engineer to drive the technical direction of innovative Electro‑Optical systems. You will collaborate with various teams to meet complex customer requirements while enjoying a dynamic work environment. This role requires a solid engineering background with skills in requirements analysis and system architecture design. We are looking for people to join our specialist Systems Team within MBDA working on some of the most complex and exciting projects we have ever undertaken. While we are looking for Systems Engineers, as long as you have the right behaviours, mind‑set and a solid engineering background, then please get in contact as we can help you develop the necessary skills and knowledge to meet this challenge. Salary: Circa £40k to 55k depending on experience. Location: Bristol or Stevenage (We may be able to offer a relocation package for this role). Dynamic (hybrid) working: On average 2/3 days per week on‑site due to workload classification. Security Clearance: British or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.
We have a fantastic opportunity to join as a Systems Engineer in our Electro‑Optical (EO) Seekers & Sensors Department. We are responsible for supporting MBDA's complex weapon programmes through the provision of specialist Electro‑Optical design support. Depending on the programme this will vary from specification and assessment through to delivery and support. We also lead and conduct industry‑leading innovative R&D activities to support future emerging programmes. The successful applicant will join one of our project teams developing ground‑breaking EO Seekers & Sensors for our complex weapons. You will be responsible for driving the technical direction of our products to meet challenging customer requirements by engaging and coordinating with wider specialist design teams and external entities to ensure we successfully deliver on our commitments. The nature of the work is broad, varied and dynamically changing. You will work within a highly skilled and expert team that will support you in delivering our commitments. We will work with you to develop your skills, knowledge and experience, as well as supporting your ongoing professional development, all while ensuring a good work‑life balance.
