Our client, a leading player in the Defence and Security industry, is currently seeking a Systems Engineer for a contract role. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on exciting projects through advanced systems engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities: Overseeing the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements management, system design, and product validation and verification. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive approach to design and implementation. Producing clear and concise technical documentation. Utilising DOORs for effective requirements management. Identifying and resolving complex technical issues through disciplined problem-solving and systems-level thinking. Applying system design such as UML and SysML for use case analysis and trade studies. Producing accurate estimates for bid activities and contributing to project planning. Ensuring designs meet mechanical and environmental qualification standards.

Job Requirements: Experience in the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements management, system design, and product validation and verification. Understanding and appreciation of all design disciplines, with expertise in at least one. Proficiency in producing technical documentation with clarity and preciseness. Experience with DOORs for requirements management. Ability to manage complexity, uncertainty, and competing demands effectively. Demonstrable problem-solving skills and system-level thinking. Experience with system design and techniques such as UML, SysML, use case analysis, and trade studies. Ability to produce estimates for bid activities. Knowledge of mechanical and environmental qualification processes.
