Job summary

AWS is seeking a systems engineer to help implement cloud computing solutions at scale in the United Kingdom. You will operate and engineer Linux-based systems, troubleshoot across application, network, and host layers, and contribute to automation using Bash, Python, or Perl.

The role requires UK nationality and the ability to obtain UK Government Security Clearance; you will collaborate with senior engineers, own services, and improve capacity and reliability in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Work as self-starters in a fast-moving environment with ambiguity and change.
• Stay customer-obsessed and resolve customer pain points quickly and completely

Requirements

• Working knowledge of Linux system administration and strong troubleshooting skills across application, network, and host levels
• Experience with systems automation using BASH, Python, Perl, or similar tools
• Experience with network fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, switching, and HTTP
• Exposure to cloud computing concepts and design considerations
• Knowledge of configuration management systems such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or similar systems
• Ability to be a UK national and obtain and maintain a UK Government Security Clearance
