Actual Annual Salary: £39,649 - £42,301 (CLF Grade F)
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday / All year-round
Additional role info: The primary location for this role is Digitech Studio School in Bristol, with regular travel to other academies as needed. Outside of these on-site responsibilities, the role offers flexibility to work remotely, supporting a balanced and adaptable working arrangement.

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Systems Engineer to join our central IT team at Cabot Learning Federation. In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of the integration of our critical information systems, ensuring seamless data flows and automation that empower thousands of learners and educators across our academies.
This role is responsible for managing and developing the CLF’s systems to ensure that interconnected data remains accurate, reliable, and well-maintained. The post holder will oversee a range of processes that support the safe movement of data across multiple CLF‑deployed platforms, including but not limited to Azure, Paxton Net2 Access Control, Office 365, Fabric, Microsoft School Data Sync, and the Nimble Training Platform. These systems are critical to the ongoing success and progression of the trust.
You’ll lead on trust-wide system integration and development, design bespoke applications to improve operational efficiency, and collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to ensure our systems are secure, resilient, and aligned with best practice. From building automation processes and managing data lakes to supporting large-scale system upgrades, your work will be central to delivering a robust and innovative digital experience for our federation.
