A local government authority in Ipswich is seeking a motivated individual for a technical support role within their IT department. The position involves providing solutions for various line of business applications, monitoring user queries, and ensuring excellent customer service. Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting capabilities and a background in supporting technology within a public service context. The Suffolk County Council IT department provides technology support to our 6 directorates - Adult Social Care, Children and Young People Services, Corporate Services, Fire and Public Safety and Growth Highways and Infrastructure and Public Health and Communities.
We are looking for motivated individuals who would like to support the delivery of public services in Suffolk.
If you would like to make a real difference to the lives of the people of Suffolk and have a passion for technology, then this is a great opportunity to join a dedicated team of IT professionals.
You will have excellent troubleshooting and problem analysis skills, be a strong communicator and possess a good knowledge of the ITIL best practice framework. As this is a technical support role, a solid background in supporting line of business applications and associated technologies in a Windows Server environment would be advantageous.

The IT Service, as part of the Corporate Services directorate, provides and supports Suffolk County Council's technology requirements. You will be working alongside experts in network, server, storage, applications, devices, cyber security and first line support. The IT Service supports colleagues across the organisation to get the most from their technology provision within a flexible working environment.
