A leading global brokerage is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join its IT team. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining and optimizing hybrid cloud (Azure) and on-premise infrastructure. The ideal candidate will support mission-critical applications and drive automation efforts while having strong expertise in the Microsoft stack, including Windows Server, IIS, and SQL Server.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Systems Engineer/Admin role.
• Strong Microsoft stack expertise (Azure, Windows Server, IIS, SQL Server).
• Solid scripting and automation skills.
• Good understanding of networking and system diagnostics.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Systems Engineer
Location: Remote (UK) | Hybrid option in London
Salary: Circa £90,000

My client, a respected global wholesale brokerage is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join its UK-based IT team. This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining and optimising hybrid cloud (Azure) and on-premise infrastructure, supporting mission-critical applications, and driving automation efforts.

What You’ll Do

• Support and maintain Windows Server, IIS, and SQL Server environments
• Deploy applications via Azure DevOps, Git, and YAML pipelines
• Automate tasks with PowerShell and Azure CLI
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues (Dynatrace, Seq)
• Collaborate with dev teams on CI/CD and performance improvements
• Work with Kubernetes (D2iQ), Linux, ServiceNow, and Ansible

• Proven experience in a Systems Engineer/Admin role
