Systems & Development Manager

Location: Cambridge

About the Role

REED Technology are working with a client who are seeking an experienced Systems & Development Manager to join their Estates and Facilities team. This senior role is pivotal in managing and developing systems and processes that support Building Engineering Maintenance (BEM). You will lead on CAFM system management, asset data integrity, compliance reporting, and document management, ensuring operational efficiency and statutory compliance across the estate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the technical and managerial lead for CAFM systems and related processes.
  • Maintain electronic asset databases and oversee system upgrades and training.
  • Produce accurate data and reports for compliance, KPIs, and statutory requirements.
  • Lead projects related to BEM data and process development.
  • Manage staff performance, training, and development within your area of responsibility.
  • Ensure adherence to Health & Safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Skills & Experience
  • BSc in IM&T or a technical discipline.
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification.
  • Significant experience in technical or estates management, including data and information systems.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of CAFM systems, asset management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent IT skills (MS Applications, data analysis) and ability to manage complex processes.
Desirable
  • Postgraduate qualification in a related discipline or Asset Management.
  • Experience in estates management and knowledge of ISO 55001.
