Job summary

VIQU IT is partnering with a UK engineering manufacturer to recruit a Systems Design Engineer. You will oversee end-to-end design, integration, validation and commissioning of complete vehicle systems in a hybrid environment.

The role requires a degree in engineering and strong systems engineering experience in automotive or off-highway sectors. Desirable familiarity with CANbus, ISO 26262 and cross-functional collaboration with suppliers is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in an engineering discipline.
• Strong systems engineering experience within automotive or similar complex electromechanical products.
• Solid understanding of system integration and validation.
• Confident communicator who can work cross-functionally with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Lead full systems life cycle across vehicle platforms from architecture to deployment.
• Capture and manage requirements (V-model) and document them.
• Create system topologies, architectures and electrical interconnections.
• Oversee multi-system integration (electrical, mechanical, communications).
• Support DVP&R, validation and on-vehicle testing.
• Produce technical documentation for production and aftermarket teams.
