Job summary
A leading testing solutions provider in the UK is seeking a dedicated Engineer for their Systems & Components team, responsible for developing and delivering various tests across industries like automotive and aerospace. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and strong skills in programming and automation systems. This role involves collaboration with clients, testing supervision, and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications
Qualified to a bachelor degree or equivalent with appropriate experience, preferably in an automotive or electrical discipline.
Experience with programming & automation systems.
Knowledge of sensor types and applications, including accelerometers, thermocouples, force transducers.
Experience of technical report writing.
Experience using climatic and/or vibration test equipment.
Responsibilities
Work closely with customers to understand their requirements and develop tests to replicate real world scenarios.
Coordinate, supervise and conduct tests and lab activities.
Program automated test equipment using a variety of tools.
Document and report test progress clearly.
Develop risk assessments for tests.
Design rigs using CAD packages.
Participate in continuous improvement activities.
Analyze test results and provide statements of conformity.
