Job summary

A recruitment firm is seeking an experienced Systems & CAFM Development Manager for a senior role in Cambridge. You will lead the development of CAFM systems for a hospital estate, ensuring safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in estates management, strong IT capabilities, and leadership skills. This position offers a chance to drive performance and enhance critical infrastructure operations.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience within technical or Estates management / system environments.
  • Strong understanding of CAFM, asset management and maintenance data.
  • Proven experience leading teams and developing processes.
  • Excellent IT capability including MS applications and data management.
  • Project management experience (PRINCE2 Practitioner desirable).
  • Strong communication skills, able to translate complex information for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to drive improvement and lead change within a busy operational setting.
  • Experience within public-sector Estates or a healthcare environment would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, operation and optimisation of the Trust's CAFM system.
  • Maintain and develop the electronic asset database and asset management processes.
  • Oversee data quality, reporting, document control and information governance.
  • Produce compliance reporting, KPIs and statutory assurance information.
  • Manage system upgrades, training delivery and user engagement.
  • Lead projects relating to estates data and process improvement.
  • Support the delivery of effective planned and reactive maintenance programmes.
  • Act as technical and managerial lead for systems under your control.
  • Line manage and develop staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Cooper Lomaz is proud to be supporting our client in Cambridge as they seek an experienced and forward‑thinking Systems & CAFM (Computer Aided Facility Management) Development Manager to join their Capital, Estates & Facilities Directorate.

This is a senior role within the Building Engineering Maintenance (BEM) team, responsible for leading the development and management of Estates systems, data, processes and compliance across a large and complex hospital estate. You will play a key part in ensuring the safety, efficiency and performance of critical infrastructure.

The Opportunity

As Systems & CAFM Development Manager, you will:

  • Lead the development, operation and optimisation of the Trust's CAFM system (Concept)
  • Maintain and develop the electronic asset database and asset management processes
