Job summary

Tarmac, part of CRH, is seeking a Systems Analyst - Logistics to join our IT team in a hybrid Mountsorrel location. The role focuses on SAP Sales & Distribution and logistics systems, delivering value across the logistics network.

You'll bridge business needs with technical solutions, lead end-to-end enhancements, provide second-line support, and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to drive continuous improvement and compliance in a demanding logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Systems Analyst or similar role.
• Strong experience with SAP Sales & Distribution (SAP SD).

• Ability to translate business requirements into effective system solutions.
• Experience delivering system enhancements and project-based change.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• As Subject Matter Expert for logistics applications and processes.
• Translate stakeholders requirements into functional solutions.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of system enhancements from design to deployment.
• Provide second-line application support and ensure SLA compliance.
• Investigate incidents and drive root-cause resolution and improvements.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Systems Analyst, you'll bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring our logistics systems continue to deliver maximum value.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Acting as the Subject Matter Expert for logistics applications and associated business processes
• Collaborating with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into functional solutions
• Leading the end-to-end delivery of system enhancements and project work, from design and build through testing, UAT and deployment
• Providing expert second-line application support and ensuring service delivery against agreed SLAs
• Investigating incidents, identifying root causes and driving resolution and continuous improvement activities
• Working closely with third-party vendors and internal teams to maintain high-performing services
• Supporting change management, compliance, governance and internal control processes
• Driving innovation and helping shape future logistics systems capabilities across the business

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who combines strong technical expertise with excellent stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.

Essential Experience

• Proven experience in a Systems Analyst, Application Analyst or similar role
• Strong experience with SAP Sales & Distribution (SAP SD) - essential
• Ability to translate business requirements into effective system solutions
• Experience delivering system enhancements and project-based change
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Process mapping and documentation expertise
• Understanding of IT service management principles and ITIL practices

Highly Desirable

• Experience with AMCS Fleet Planner
• Experience with Axian VAS
• Logistics, transport or supply chain systems experience
• Relevant software vendor accreditations
• ITIL certification
