Job description
Overview

This busy and varied role is based in the Systems team, within the FECS (Finance, Estates and Commercial Services) professional service. The FECS team of around 360 staff has a wide‑range remit and your work will help ensure the smooth running of systems that underpin the university’s business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily system checks and resolve issues or appropriately escalated tickets.
  • Maintain data accuracy and integrity across systems such as Unit4 ERP, Flywire, Kinetics, Resource Booker, Continuum and other access control systems.
  • Support system integrations, develop reports, and assist with system upgrades and module implementations.
  • Deliver staff training on key system processes and create clear training materials such as guides and videos.
  • Collaborate with systems developers, technical leads, and other administrators to meet agreed standards and timescales.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of computerised business systems with experience managing systems in a complex organisation.
  • Strong focus on customer service and excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands.
  • Strong problem‑solving capabilities to understand and resolve complex issues.
  • Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office, database systems, and the ability to manipulate data and develop reports.
  • Experience delivering user training and engaging with colleagues at all levels.
Location & Working Hours

Based at the modern Frenchay Campus, you will spend at least 50% of your time on campus, with the opportunity to work from home the remaining days. The job is full‑time, permanent, working 37 hours per week and is available on a job share basis for applicants wishing to work part time.
