Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Systems Accountant & Financial Modeller to join the finance function of a large organisation in central Birmingham. You will own core finance systems, build sophisticated financial models and shape improvements across budgeting, forecasting and reporting.

The role requires ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualifications and strong analytical, Excel and stakeholder communication skills, with a hybrid work arrangement and a permanent, Birmingham-based position.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification preferred.
• Strong finance systems experience.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Commercially minded with strong analytical abilities.
• Confident communicating with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Proven history of implementing improvements.

Responsibilities

• Act as the finance systems expert, troubleshooting issues and driving improvements.
• Build, develop and maintain complex financial models.
• Support and develop financial accounting systems.
• Use advanced Excel to improve modelling, analysis and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline finance processes.
• Support budgeting and rolling forecasts.
• Provide insightful analysis to improve financial and commercial performance.
• Work with senior stakeholders and translate financial information into clear business insight.
• Lead finance systems, change and potential integration projects.

Profile

A successful Systems Accountant & Financial Modeller should have:

• Ideally ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified

Job Offer

• Salary between £68,000 and £75,000, dependent on the level of experience.
