Job summary

Oadby & Wigston Borough Council in Leicestershire is seeking a System Support Officer to manage the support, security, performance and development of our housing, property and asset management systems.

You will work within the IT Team, liaising with Housing colleagues and suppliers to ensure systems are reliable, secure and meet service needs. The role includes user training, data quality, and leading app-related projects and implementations to enhance service delivery.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience of working with document management systems.

Job description

As a System Support Officer, you will manage the support, security, performance and development of the Council's business applications, with a particular focus on Housing, property and asset management systems. Working within the IT Team and closely with Housing colleagues and suppliers, you will ensure systems are reliable, secure and effectively meet service needs.

The role includes providing user support, training and guidance, maintaining data quality, resolving system issues, supporting system improvements, and leading application-related projects and system implementations to enhance service delivery.

Whilst the role is within System Support you will have the opportunity to learn, develop and work as part of a larger IT section to support the Council on digital matters.

A BPSS including DBS check is required for this post.

Salary: £32,578 - £35,570
