Job summary

A London-based re-insurer is seeking a Syndicate Reporting Manager to oversee the timely and accurate closing of accounting ledgers and prepare regulatory returns. The role requires a qualified accountant with over 7 years of experience in the insurance market, particularly within the Lloyd's Market. Responsibilities include leading the quarterly close process and managing the financial analysis for group reporting.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) or qualified by experience.
• 7+ years experience within the insurance market, preferably in the Lloyd's Market.
• Experience in production of UK GAAP Financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Complete all aspects of the quarterly close process and present ledgers in accordance with UK GAAP.
• Prepare and manage the quarter end close timetable.
• Liaise with external auditors to ensure timely submissions to regulatory bodies.

Skills

Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA)

Experience in the insurance market

Experience in completing Lloyd's regulatory returns

Sound understanding of current insurance industry standards
