Job Description

This is an incredible opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to start a career in the leisure industry. Gain industry leading qualifications and experience with our team at our world‑class facilities in Stirlingshire. After completing the required qualifications you will primarily provide a quality swimming instructional programme for pre‑school, school‑aged children and adults. You will learn to plan lessons, so that individuals needs can be met, and to enhance their experience and make best progress with each child/adult in the programme.

At Active Stirling we have a team‑first approach so you will also earn your lifeguarding qualification and some coaching qualifications so you can support operations across The PEAK and gain invaluable experience in multiple environments. Various part‑time contracts available, all fixed term initially for 1 year.

Please note, if you do not currently hold the relevant swimming teacher qualification, you must be available ALL of the dates below to complete the necessary training course:

• 6th April 10:00 – 18:30
• 7th April 10:00 – 18:30
• 8th April 10:00 – 18:30
• 15th April 10:00 – 18:30
• 16th April 10:00 – 18:30
• 17th April 10:00 – 18:30
• 18th April 09:00 – 13:00
• 19th April 09:00 – 12:00
• 25th April 09:00 – 12:00
• 26th April 09:00 – 12:00

Applicants who do not hold a valid STA Safety Award for Teachers (or equivalent) must be able to attend all training dates:

• 25th April 12:00 – 18:30

Requirements

No previous training or qualification is required. We will put the right candidates through the required accredited training courses with a training agreement in place. You must be a competent and confident swimmer to complete the required training courses.

• To support the delivery of membership activities and Holiday Club at The PEAK.
• Create a great experience for customers and your team members.
