Serco, recruiting on behalf of Leisure Solutions Community Trust, seeks Swimming Teachers for South Charnwood Leisure Centre (LE7 1LY). This role offers various part-time hours: Mon 3.30–5.30pm, Tue 3.30–6.30pm, Wed 3.30–6.30pm, Fri 4–7pm.

We employ the Swim England learn‑to‑swim framework to develop confidence in all swimmers through fun and enjoyable lessons. Many of our swimmers progress to competitive levels and even represent the country.

Teaching our swimming lessons sees you delivering safe, fun, and progressive lessons. We support your career and personal development: you can contract as many teaching hours as you wish, and we provide safeguarding and DBS checks as well as personal insurance coverage.

Our in‑house Aquatic Training Academy offers ongoing training through specialist CPDs in swimming teaching, with a clear pathway to management or other roles within the business.

We give all teachers a free membership (and one for a friend or family member) to enjoy the services we offer to customers.

What You’ll Need To Do The Role

You’ll have excellent customer service skills and be happy to work with people of all ages and backgrounds.

You must hold an STA Award/Certificate in Teaching Swimming or Swim England (formerly ASA) Level 2.

Holding a valid RLSS UK NPLQ, RLSS UK NRASTC, or STA Safety Award for Teachers is advantageous but not essential; we can provide the training free of charge.

This role requires a DBS check.
