Job summary

swim@ is seeking engaging Swimming Teachers to deliver fun, safe, and structured lessons for children aged 3–11. You will bring energy, personality, and a commitment to high teaching and safety standards, ensuring a first-class experience for every swimmer and family.

Full training and qualifications can be provided. Evening and weekend work is required, with opportunities to work across multiple swim@ venues near you.

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Commitment to high teaching and safety standards.
  • Desirable: Level 2 Swimming Teaching Qualification.
  • Experience teaching children or working in a leisure environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver themed, structured swimming lessons for ages 3–11.
  • Maintain high teaching and safety standards.
  • Provide outstanding customer care; welcome families and engage with parents.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
  • Use digital systems to track progress and communicate results.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and site teams; attend training.
  • Potential to work across multiple locations near other swim@ venues.

The Role

We’re looking for engaging, inspiring Swimming Teachers to join our award-winning team. You’ll deliver fun, safe, and structured swimming lessons that help children build confidence and achieve their potential in the water.

You’ll bring energy and personality to every class, while maintaining the highest teaching and safety standards ensuring every swimmer and parent enjoys a first-class experience.

What You’ll Do
  • Deliver, and review themed, structured swimming lessons for children aged 3–11 (from beginners to competent swimmers).
  • Deliver with a modern, engaging and dynamic style always looking to bring your best self
  • Provide outstanding customer care, welcoming families, engaging with parents, and ensuring every swimmer feels supported.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all swimmers.
  • Use our digital systems to track progress, celebrate milestones, and communicate results.
  • Communicate confidently with parents and guardians to keep them informed and involved.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and site teams to maintain our high standards.
  • Attend training and team meetings to stay current and continuously improve.
  • If you are located close to other swim@ and swim! venues there is an opportunity to work across multiple locations.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Commitment to high teaching and safety standards.

Desirable:

  • Level 2 Swimming Teaching Qualification (STA or SEQ, or Swim England)
  • Experience teaching children or working in a leisure environment.
  • Lifesaving, safeguarding, or first aid qualifications.
