Candidates should hold a relevant swimming teaching qualification and possess excellent customer service skills. The Trust offers ongoing training and employee benefits, including free membership and discounted classes at the facility. If you are passionate about making a positive impact in your community, this role is for you.
Main Location: Water Meadows Leisure Complex. Job Type: Permanent, Part time. Working Hours: Thursday 4.15pm to 6.15pm / Saturday 8.15am to 12.15pm. Salary: £14.47 per hour.
Here at More Leisure our goal is to get more people active by providing affordable safe and enjoyable lessons for all. We are recruiting Swimming Teachers to grow our programmes.
By following the tried and tested Swim England learn-to-swim framework we develop confidence in all our swimmers through fun and enjoyable lessons.
Many swimmers have progressed to competitive swimming and even represent our country.
Serco manages these facilities on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the Trust.
You will have excellent customer service skills and be someone who is happy to deal with people of all ages and backgrounds. You will need to hold either a STA Award / Certificate in Teaching Swimming or Swim England (Previously ASA) Level 2. Holding either a valid RLSS UK NPLQ, RLSS UK NRASTC or STA Safety Award for Teachers would be advantageous but not essential as we can provide the training to complete these courses free of charge.
Swimming not only makes people healthier and happier but also teaches a skill for life. As one of our teachers you’ll be at the forefront of helping people develop those skills.
Our swimming teachers are integral to the running of our centres, so as well progressing into aquatics coordination they can move into other centre management roles in one of our 55 facilities.
Teaching can lead to a great sense of accomplishment as you watch people progress and work with your local community. And as you’re supporting your students, we’ll be supporting you with ongoing training and development.
