Job summary

Tower Hamlets Leisure Services is hiring a Swimming Instructor to deliver high-quality swimming lessons and promote water safety within the community. You will teach sessions for all ages, assess progress, and maintain records in line with Swim England Learn to Swim standards.

Essential qualifications include Swim England Level 2 Teaching Swimming or STA Level 2, with experience in structured aquatic environments.

Qualifications

• Swim England Level 2 Teaching Swimming Qualification or STA Level 2 certificate in Teaching Swimming (essential).
• Experience planning and delivering swimming lessons for children, young people and adults.
• Knowledge of swimming teaching standards, water safety and safeguarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, engaging swimming lessons to participants of all ages and abilities.
• Assess swimmers' progress and maintain records per Swim England Learn to Swim framework.
• Ensure safety by following safeguarding and pool procedures.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and partners to promote participation.
