Job summary

Freedom Leisure is seeking a Swim Teacher to deliver lessons across ages and abilities, ensuring learners feel supported and track progress. Casual hours, with training provided, and a DBS check required.

Applicants should have Level 2 teaching qualification and strong communication skills, plus the ability to engage both children and parents in a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to teach swimming to children and/or adults.
• Communicate with the children’s parents/guardians concerning their development and advise on progression.
• Assist in the supervision of customers in the swimming pool and surrounds, ensuring their safety and discipline.
• Excellent communication skills with a genuine desire to work closely with customers.
• Enhanced DBS check.

Requirements

• To teach swimming to children and/or adults as part of the Leisure Centre’s swimming lesson programme, according to qualification, training and experience
• To communicate with the children’s parents/guardians concerning their development, and advise on their progression through the programme
• To assist in the supervision of customers in the swimming pool and surrounds, ensuring their safety and discipline
• Excellent communication skills with a genuine desire to work closely with customers.
• An ability to deal with children and their parents
• Level 2 swimming teaching qualification or willingness to gain qualification as training can be provided
• Enhanced DBS check
