We have an exciting full time opportunity for you to become our Health & Wellbeing Coach. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver and make a difference online. We are looking for people who are based near one of our delivery locations in Buckinghamshire. If you live within a commutable distance of Buckinghamshire such as Oxfordshire or Hertfordshire we can also consider you! Primarily with this role, delivery times will be between 5 pm and 9 pm, so you must be comfortable working during these hours.

The Health and Wellbeing Coach provides personalised support to individuals to empower them to take control of their own health and wellbeing with a focus on lifestyle behaviour change, inclusive but not limited to the core areas of:

  • Healthy Eating and Nutrition
  • Smoking Cessation
  • Physical Activity
  • Weight Management
  • Alcohol consumption
  • NHS Health Checks (outreach)

As a Health and Wellbeing Coach, you will facilitate people in establishing and attaining health‑promoting goals, set by the person, to change lifestyle‑related behaviours, with the intent of reducing health risks, improving self‑management of chronic conditions, and improving quality of life.

Delivery & Support Approach
  • Face‑to‑face, telephonic, and digital health coaching
  • Multi‑mix communication methods including in‑app messaging, text, and e‑mail
  • Share helpful and supportive resources in line with goal, stage of journey, confidence, and processing data where accuracy, targets and time deadlines are operating in the workplace
  • Experience of supporting vulnerable individuals through a change process
  • Evidence of continuous professional development to ensure the delivery of the most recent and up‑to‑date health coaching provision to the correct quality standard
  • Experience of working in a health, community or social care environment or good understanding of the issues around maintaining a healthy lifestyle
Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Relevant health coaching qualification or an accredited health coaching skills programme
  • Experience of direct health coaching delivery
  • Experience in delivering behaviour change interventions for specific lifestyle‑related issues (e.g., smoking cessation, physical activity, NHS health checks, weight management, alcohol reduction)
  • Evidence of supporting vulnerable individuals through a change process
  • Experience of caseload management demonstrated via the use of a Case Management System

Desirable:

  • Membership of a professional body (ICF, EMCC, AoC, UKHCA)
  • Experience of managing and supervising individuals and teams
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject (e.g., Psychology, Behavioural Science)
  • Experience of supporting people remotely, telephonically, or digitally
  • Evidence of working with individuals with long‑term health conditions
