Qualifications

Job Advert: Swap-Out Controller / Installer – Digital Telecare Upgrade (RCT)

Location: Vision Products, Pontyclun
Employment Type: Temporary – urgent project cover
Number of Positions: 3
Start Date: 1 December 2025
End Date: 1 February 2026 (very likely extension)
Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:00)
Salary: PAYE: £12.84 per hour | Umbrella: £16.80 per hour

The Role – Help RCT Go Digital & Keep Vulnerable People Safe

We’re upgrading thousands of analogue lifeline/telecare units to brand-new digital systems before the big switch‑off.

Day‑to‑Day
  • Drive to 6–10 properties per day across RCT
  • Swap old analogue units for new digital ones
  • Test the line, program the unit, show the customer (or family) how it works
  • Complete simple digital paperwork on a tablet
  • Deliver brilliant, patient customer service every time
We Need
  • Full UK driving licence (essential – you’ll be driving a council van)
  • Basic IT confidence (you’ll use a tablet – full training given)
  • Great communication & people skills – many customers are nervous about change
  • Happy to work in people’s homes and follow clear processes
  • Flexible, reliable team player
You Get

  • Enhanced DBS paid for (or must be on the update service)
  • Supportive team & proper 08:00–16:00 hours (no evenings/weekends)
