Job summary

Citi Belfast is recruiting for a senior Services Financial Crimes Risk professional to oversee end‑to‑end control frameworks across AML, sanctions and fraud. You will partner with global and regional teams to ensure effective and compliant controls, with a focus on proactive risk assessment and issue resolution.

The role offers a hybrid working model (up to 2 days remote per week) and a competitive base salary, plus a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/University degree required; master’s degree desirable.
• Relevant experience in financial crime compliance or risk management.
• Financial Crime certification preferred (ICA, ACAMS, ACSS).
• Knowledge of AML, sanctions, and fraud risk.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial crimes compliance/risk management subject matter expertise to ensure an effective control environment.
• Assess existing MCA control framework, identify gaps and advise on new controls.
• Drive execution ensuring compliance with laws, rules and regulations.
• Ensure risk mapping, ownership and robust reporting to senior management.
• Maintain knowledge of product innovations and regulatory changes affecting controls.
• Escalate issues and coordinate with Citi lines to share best practices.
• Prepare updates for governance committees and drive continuous improvement.
