Energy Consultant (OCDEA SAP Assessor)

Location: Manchester

Salary: £30,000-£42,000 (DOE) + Private Healthcare

The Role

As an Energy Consultant, you'll deliver the technical elements of building compliance services for both residential and commercial developments. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out SAP assessments and calculations
  • Conducting overheating, water efficiency, and U-value calculations
  • Producing energy statements and reports for planning
  • Providing technical support and advice to clients
  • Managing projects from initial engagement through to completion
  • Ensuring timely delivery of accurate, compliant, and well-presented reports
About You

We're looking for someone who's technically strong, client-focused, and eager to grow within a supportive team. You should have:

  • OCDEA (SAP) qualification with relevant experience
  • Solid knowledge of Building Regulations and energy modelling (Elmhurst Design SAP preferred)
  • Strong understanding of UK environmental regulatory frameworks
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • A degree (or equivalent) in a related discipline and at least 2 years' experience in the field
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required

Professional membership with IEMA, CIBSE, LCC, or similar would be an advantage.
