Job summary

Vector Recruitment is supporting a well-established engineering business in Manchester to hire an Environmental & Sustainability Advisor. You will influence environmental performance, carbon reduction and sustainability initiatives across complex engineering projects in the power generation, energy infrastructure and BESS sectors.

Key duties include managing ISO 14001 EMS, greenhouse gas accounting, Scope 3 assessments, sustainability reporting, audits and compliance, and supporting carbon

Qualifications

• A degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering or similar.
• MIEMA, FIEMA or CIWEM membership.
• Experience operating and maintaining ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
• Knowledge of greenhouse gas accounting and carbon reporting.
• Experience with Scope 3 emissions assessments.
• Sustainability reporting experience.
• Understanding of environmental legislation and compliance requirements.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Managing and improving the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
• Supporting carbon reduction and Net Zero initiatives.
• Greenhouse gas accounting and carbon reporting.
• Scope 3 emissions assessments and supply chain engagement.
• Supporting Carbon Reduction Plans and sustainability strategies.
• Environmental audits and compliance activities.
• Producing sustainability and environmental performance reports.
• Supporting major project and tender submissions.
• Driving environmental improvement initiatives across the business.
