Job summary

CBRE London is seeking a Sustainability Data Analyst to join the Global Workplace Solutions team on a permanent basis. You will manage large datasets, develop dashboards and deliver data-driven insights to improve energy efficiency for client portfolios.

Reporting to the Senior Sustainability Consultant, you will collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and strategic sustainability planning.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience delivering sustainability data driven projects.
  • Experience using data management platforms or data systems.
  • Strong calculations with high accuracy and knowledge of GHG Protocol.
  • Understanding of Scope 1-3 emissions and sustainability reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean and analyse large data sets from sustainability platforms.
  • Develop dashboards and reports tracking energy usage, carbon footprint and water consumption.
  • Collaborate with property managers and engineers to ensure data accuracy.
  • Provide environmental and carbon emission reports on request.

We arerecruiting for a Sustainability Data Analyst to join our team in London on apermanent basis. This is a great opportunity for an experienced andenthusiastic candidate to join a global account team.

The Data Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting ourclients with data-driven insights to improve environmental performance acrosstheir portfolios.

The Sustainability Compliance & Reporting team is partof our Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) division and supports high-profileclients, across various sectors in Enterprise Accounts, with design andimplementation of sustainability strategies, sustainability reporting andcompliance, varying between single subject consulting projects to large changemanagement engagements.

The role involves managing and interpreting large datasetsfrom various sustainability platforms, analysing utility bills, inputting datainto those platforms and providing reports with actionable recommendations to improve energy efficiency.

The Data Analyst Will Collaborate With Internal Teams Andclients To Ensure Accurate Reporting, Compliance, And Strategic Sustainabilityplanning. The Focus Will Be On

  • Managing utility and environmental data
  • Facilitating input of data onto client reportingdata management systems
  • Communicating the importance of goodenvironmental data
  • Analysing and reporting data

This role will report to the Senior SustainabilityConsultant who leads carbon management initiatives and will be supported by theOperational Director.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, clean, and analyse large datasets fromsustainability platforms
  • Review quality of data provided and engage withdata owners to close any gaps and anomalies
  • Identify key areas of risk when evaluating datafor quality and completeness
  • Collaborate with property managers, engineers,and sustainability consultants to ensure data accuracy
  • Facilitate input of data onto client reportingdata management systems
  • Develop dashboards and reports to tracksustainability KPIs including energy usage, carbon footprint, waterconsumption, and waste diversion
  • Identify trends and anomalies in buildingperformance data
  • Provide environmental and carbon emissionreports at requested intervals
  • Collate evidence and document data managementprocesses annually to support reporting and assurance processes
  • Liaise with providers of data management systemswith regards to any issues, updates, user changes
  • Provide training and support to stakeholders onsustainability data tools and processes as required
  • Provide day-to-day support for the datamanagement system to data owners
Person Specification/Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in delivery ofsustainability data driven projects
  • Prior involvement in utilising and managing datamanagement systems or platforms
  • Proven experience in undertaking complex, datadriven calculations with a high degree of accuracy
  • Good understanding of the GHG Protocol
  • Knowledge of carbon accounting principles andScope 1, 2, and 3 emissions calculations
  • Understanding of sustainability relatedcorporate reporting frameworks and standards.
  • Understanding of utility bill formats and billmanagement systems
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such asExcel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar
  • Experience with sustainability platforms (e.g.Envizi, Deepki, Gridium)
  • Educated to degree level (minimum 2:1) ideallyin sustainability/data related subject
  • Excellent written, excel and verbalcommunication skills to translate complex data into clear insights
  • Strong organisational and project managementskills
  • Ability to translate technical data intobusiness-relevant insights
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and clientmanagement capabilities
  • Experience in preparing client presentations andexecutive summaries
  • Commercial awareness of real estate operationsand sustainability drivers
  • Ability to work independently, manage multipleprojects simultaneously
  • Ability to provide efficient, timely andcourteous service to customers and respond effectively to sensitive issues
