A prominent healthcare organization in the UK is looking for an Administrator to support the Sussex Mindfulness Centre. This role includes administering training programs, liaising with stakeholders, and providing organizational support in a dynamic environment. A background in working with refugees and experience in mindfulness practice are essential. The position is currently home-based with occasional meetings in Brighton.
Sussex Mindfulness Centre (SMC) part of Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, was founded in 2011 and is now one of the leading mindfulness centres in the UK. Sussex Partnership in collaboration with the Association for Cognitive-Analytic Therapy has been running trainings in Cognitive-Analytic Therapy (CAT) since 2009.
This post holder will provide a high quality administrative service to the SMC and the CAT training team. They will work closely with the Co-Lead for SMC who is the Programmes Director for CAT training in the South-East.
In particular, they will be expected to work on the national mindfulness training in NHS Talking Therapies services and on the two CAT trainings.Therefore, this postholder will need to have experience of administering training programmes and of liaising with national stakeholders in a training context.
The postholder will also need to support SMC's work in the delivery of mindfulness courses, particularly to refugees. Therefore, experience of working with refugees and understanding of issues faced by refugees is needed,
Everyone in the core SMC team has their own personal interest in mindfulness and practices it themselves. Experience of mindfulness practice is therefore essential.

The Sussex Mindfulness Centre (SMC) Administrator will provide an effective and efficient administrative service to SMC, focusing on the administration of the MBCT in NHS Talking Therapies (MBCT in NHS TT) training programme and the Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) training programme.
The post holder will also support the Administration Manager and other members of the team with other SMC administrative procedures, and must be able to communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

1.1 To provide a professional administrative support service, using appropriate IT software packages, including Sharepoint, OneDrive, Word, Excel and Outlook, ProRoster, Oracle, and Jot Form, working to strict timescales and to a high standard of accuracy, following the correct Trust presentation standards.
1.2 To liaise with the Sussex Mindfulness Centre team, the wider national MBCT in NHS Talking Therapies team, CAT team, and (where appropriate) Psychological Professions directorate and Service Managers across the Trust via email, telephone and face to face, and to respond to enquires in a helpful and appropriate manner.
1.3 To monitor and screen e-mails to shared inboxes, responding to routine enquiries and when necessary flagging urgent issues for the team.
1.4 To support the Administration Manager with saving of documentation in specified locations, ensuring that all documentation is secure, up to date, accurate and retrievable.
1.5 To create and maintain complex spreadsheets, ensuring that they are kept up to date and accessible to all members of team.
1.6 To liaise with the Administration Manager and the communications team around yearly updates for internal and external websites.
1.7 Under the guidance of the Administration Manager to assist with organising training and events for SMC and external staff including liaising with training facilitators and attendees, to include the MBCT in NHS Talking Therapies training programme, CAT programme and other SMC training programmes. To be responsible for the booking of venues, equipment and hospitality requests, using the Trusts forms.
1.8 To provide timely written and verbal updates to the SMC team.
1.9 To be proactive in organising and prioritising workload, managing own time effectively, highlighting problems as they arise and proposing possible solution within available resources.
