Job summary

GAP Group is seeking a Survey & Safety Technician to inspect, test and calibrate hire equipment for construction, utilities and infrastructure projects. You will ensure safety checks are performed, documents completed, and equipment is ready for dispatch and returned with meticulous attention to detail.

The role requires hands-on workshop work, a proactive approach and the ability to work alone or with the team.

Qualifications

• Experience as a survey technician within a busy depot or similar environment.
• Ability to diagnose and repair survey equipment.
• High IT literacy, especially Word and Excel.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test and maintain hire equipment before dispatch and on return.
• Carry out comprehensive safety checks and calibration of all hire equipment.
• Complete all necessary documentation for equipment checks.
• Maintain the workshop and keep core hire equipment adequately stocked.
