Spire Dunedin Hospital in Reading is seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to join the Surgical Wards team for a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will deliver safe, compassionate care across a varied surgical caseload, in collaboration with consultants and the wider clinical team.

The role requires NMC registration, recent acute-care experience, and a patient-focused, adaptable approach. Full-time, 37.5 hours per week with rota shifts; a supportive environment in a leading independent healthcare

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Experience working within an acute healthcare setting.
• Confident managing a varied patient caseload.
• Strong clinical knowledge supported by professional registration.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
• Organised, reliable and committed to delivering outstanding patient care.
• Positive and professional approach to work.
• Adaptable and comfortable working in a changing clinical environment.
• Surgical ward experience is desirable but not essential.
• Nurses with a genuine interest in developing their surgical nursing experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsabilités

• Assess patients' health and wellbeing across a complex and changing caseload.
• Deliver high-quality nursing care tailored to individual patient needs.
• Support the planning, delivery and evaluation of patient care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, relatives and colleagues, including discussing sensitive information.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
• Promote best practice in health, safety and clinical governance.
• Contribute to service improvement and the ongoing development of the ward.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive patient outcomes.
