Primary Function

Responsible for assisting in surgical procedures by handling instrumentation and anticipating the needs of the surgeon while maintaining aseptic techniques to AORN standa

Responsibilities
  • Maintain skills and competencies required of the Surgical Technologist position.
  • Maintains Surgical Technologist Certification
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of service lines including use of specialized equipment.
  • Primary Preceptor for the scrub role.
  • Complies with customer service requirements.
  • Actively participates in QI programs.
  • Respond to emergency situations under the direction of a RN.
  • Performs all other job related duties as assigned.
  • Maintains and gathers supplies to perform job
  • Maintains BLS
Job Qualifications and Specifications

Graduation of an accredited Surgical Technologist program. Surgical Technologist Certification is required. BLS Certification Required.
