Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a Certified Surgical Tech to join our operating room team. You will assist surgeons by providing sterile instruments and supplies, supporting aseptic techniques and maintaining a safe patient environment during procedures.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Surgical Tech program, National certification preferred, and BLS. Prior OR experience is valued, with opportunities to contribute to quality patient care and unit teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech Program and a Certified Surgical Tech
• BLS is required
• 6 months OR experience is strongly preferred
• National certification is preferred

Responsibilities

• Accurately completes assignments within scheduled time periods.
• Communication: reports pertinent patient information to RN.
• Cooperates with reassignments to meet patient care needs.
• Performs patient care duties safely and efficiently as directed by RN.
• Maintains sterility of field and supports team during emergencies.
