Job summary

CMR Surgical in Cambridge is seeking a System Verification Test Technician to support verification activities for new system designs and full-system validation. The role involves executing formal test protocols, creating detailed test reports, and ensuring test rigs are calibrated and ready for use.

You will document results, raise deviations, and work with the team to improve testing processes while maintaining high standards of accuracy and GDP compliance. On-site at our Cambridge premises.

Qualifications

• Experience of manual testing of complex devices or systems.
• Experience driving tests using predefined software scripts.
• Experience using measurement tools (e.g. oscilloscopes, multimeters, bench power supplies).
• Excellent team working and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate records (serial numbers, test reports).
• Knowledge of test and measurement equipment maintenance.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ideally some exposure to Agile environments and issue trackers.
• Knowledge of Lab H&S and good lab working practice.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-moving team.

Responsibilities

• Execute test protocols from system, user and risk related requirements.
• Create technical test reports that follow GDP (good document practice).
• Ensure test environments and rigs (software, hardware or both) are functional and calibrated.
• Create bug reports and communicate issues to the Team Lead and Project Teams.
• Monitor and report test progress to the Task Lead.
• Collaborate with team members to identify process improvements.
