Job summary

Cpl UK Healthcare is looking for a Band 8a Clinical Pharmacist – Surgery for a temporary post in Dundee, Scotland. You will provide expert clinical input across surgical wards, lead medicines optimisation and support high-quality pharmaceutical care for surgical patients.

You will perform complex prescription screening, advise multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior staff and help develop policies. Mon-Fri, 8am-4pm, £50ph, PVG check required.

Qualifications

• Current GPhC registration.
• Minimum of 6 months NHS hospital experience at Band 7 or above.
• Senior clinical pharmacy experience, ideally in surgical/peri-operative settings.
• Strong medicines optimisation and evidence-based prescribing knowledge.
• Experience leading or supervising pharmacy teams.
• Excellent clinical decision-making and communication skills.
• PVG scheme membership or willingness to undergo PVG checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert medicines advice to surgical multidisciplinary teams.
• Lead medicines optimisation initiatives within the surgical specialty.
• Mentor junior pharmacy staff and support professional development.
• Develop and implement medicines-related policies and guidelines.
